I have been feeling a bit withdrawn these days, at least withdrawn from the computer. We were home from our trip late Monday and I didn’t even unpack my computer until Thursday. It’s been nice. My classes start again tomorrow and I am feeling a bit refreshed, rejuvenated. I do feel a bit like I fell off the edge of the blogging world :( but I will catch up with you soon.
N and I completed ‘Operation Organize Your Garage’ yesterday. It wasn’t as grueling as I thought it was going to be. Now I can pull my car into the garage and not burn myself every time I open the doors! N will be able to pull his car in after the garage sale we are having in two weeks (which is part of Operation Fundraising)…sweet of him right?
Today the cable man came to fix our phone (sounds weird but its right) and managed to knock out our cable and internet!!! But the main event of his arrival was when I opened the door and he verified my address, then asked me if my
MOMMY and
DADDY WERE HOME!!! Not kidding!!! Which you are saying I should feel flattered…but I don’t really see it that way because I had Tae standing next to me. I let him know that ‘
I AM THE MOMMY’, so then he looks at Tae and then looks back at me and apologizes, but he has that tone. So I know he thinks that I am a
TEEN MOM, which pisses me off, but as much as I wanted to shout “
DUDE I will be
THIRTY!!!” I didn’t think it was appropriate and I didn’t want to waste my words. Seriously though, this happens pretty frequently and it kind of sucks. I know I look a bit young for my age (a blessing I am thankful for) and Tae does look a bit old for hers (it’s her height that throws people off) but when did it become appropriate to call it out. Comments like “WOW
YOU are her mom??? You don’t look old enough to be
HER MOM” I am not feeling them. Please stop! I wouldn’t want my first conversation with someone to contain a phrase like that…???
First day of summer break over here…best to start it with a clean house…gotta get to work!!! Tae is busy trying to build a bird house out of Popsicle sticks…I’ll let you know how that turns out ;)
