Last night while I was reading T her bed time story she was more in the mood for a little conversation, she definitely had some things on her mind that she wanted to discuss. It went like this....
"Mom, I think that you should go and get the scissors."
"T, why?"
"I need to get my hairs cut"
"Oh, did you decide you want bangs?" We have been talking about bangs so her hair would be out of her eyes, since she refuses to have a hair do.
"Yeah Mom!!!!!! I want bangs ALL over!" very excited!
"WHAT? Like a boy?"
"Yeah, just like Dylan" The cutest little boy in her class.
"T why would you want your hair like Dylan's?" I was very confused at this point because normally the idea of cutting her hair makes her cry, especially if you say like a boys.
"'Cause I don't think Dylan has to take showers or brush his hair."
Now it was all crystal clear. Miss T has very fine hair that gets tangled all the time, we have to wash it every night or we will not be able to brush it. She is not very fond of this process, though I do call it "playing beauty salon" I think she sees through the cover. So in her little mind having "bangs all over" is a fair price to pay not to have to take a shower or get your hair brushed. Too funny. Final phase of the conversation went like this....
"Tae, even if you have short hair like Dylans, you will still have to take a shower and brush your hair. Would you still like to get bangs all over?"
"No Mommy, just bangs in front"
Please note that Dylan is a very nice clean little boy.
Now that we got that conversation taken care of she moved to the next question.....
"Mom, how did baby L get out of Auntie A's belly?" We had discussed this earlier in the night but she apparently is very fond of the explination and enjoys the story of how babies grow inside their mommy's tummys and how we can use a special camera to see them and we can listen to their heart beat. She really liked me trying to explain the pushing and the boo boo on the tummy if the baby wont come out. I never would have thought I would be telling this as a bed time story, but she loved it. At her request, I told it to her 3 times and she just sat their like I was talking about the most beautiful princess in the biggest castle in the most beautiful land in all the world. I must say she is just a little wise beyond her years!
