T'was the night....

Making cookies for Santa…

So happy to have some ‘twinkle toes’….

An evening with family, a walk through the Zoo Lights, and a special video delivery from Santa….and she was tucked snug in her bed…..while visions of an Amer!can G!rl doll danced in her head.

Ornament Exchange...

These are the ornaments I made this year...They are Peace, Love and Happiness!!!

They were so fun to make and (in my opinion) they came out really cute!

The preparations….

When we opened our xmas decorations we came across this dress….If you look closely you can see that the buttons say “Sarah.” My Aunt made me this dress for xmas when I was about Tae’s age…full circle...Tae loved it!

I have back posted this...it was such a wonderful day I did not want to leave it off the blog.

8/30....hmmm

I had to work most of the day today….felt pretty awful leaving Mama K at the house all day. I came home to a wonderful dinner…AGAIN. Love Mama K!!!!

Went through some of T’s too small clothes (I don’t say old because to me they are not old) and it is always a bit of a heart tugging experience. How did she grow so fast? My crazy memory really does a number on me with this type of situation. I can look at each article of clothing and see so many memories. My girl is growing fast…too fast for me.

I will take my sorting to the 2nd hand store this week. I have kept most of the items in the family…some to sister, some to Mama K and some to M. And yes, still enough to take a trip to the 2nd hand store. All my special pieces are back in the bin and tucked in the closet.

7/30....the Lu bug....

Today he hit the hot spot known as I-K-E-A....the big girls decided the play place was where they wanted to be and the little stayed with the Mamas. What a cute little Lu Bug!!!

I have a great idea to include with our xmas cards...something that gives....now to just get the cards...hmmm not feeling very motivated for the cards this year =/

6/30...sweetness...

Tonight I came home from our show to a clean kitchen (thanks to N) and dinner (thanks to Mama K). Poppy came over for dinner and fixed our furnace. I am loved!

I have missed my girl terribly this weekend. She was a crazy child this evening...a sure sign that she had fun while I was away. Her Nana treats her well!

It is so great to have the L girls here. I have won Lu over and that makes me smile. It is so sweet to hear the girls talk about how they are family...so sweet!

5/30...like ice...

soooo cold today at our show...SOOOO cold. I am still trying to get warm 5 hours later. Sister and I had fun being silly and laughing at each other.

4/30....giving...

This year I am really putting a lot of thought into our Christmas gift giving…and receiving. I have a really strong desire to make most of the gifts but I know that would not be enjoyable for everyone. I am trying to think of gifts that can do more than be a gift…something that keeps giving in one way or another. I have a few ideas and maybe the entire gift will not be able to offer endless glory but hopefully a portion of it will. I do have hopes of making some jam and baking some bread for friends…we will have to see about that.

Tae has an advent calendar from TJ’s and it is a fun yet stressful activity each morning as she is overjoyed with the chocolate and closeness of Christmas…while Mama gets a little freaked that we are not ready!!!!! SOOOO not ready :/

1/31....here we go again...

.....NaBloPoMo for the month of December. I am very excited about the theme…I will do my best. I was a little disappointed in my attempts last month…not all post worthy topics. So for December…the theme comes with a challenge to do something each day…a random act of kindness and blog about it. I am not sure how random my acts will be but I am excited to take on this challenge.

30/30...The last day….

….of my 30 commitment. …I kind of did it…minus my one day of unpredicted sleep.

Tonight was a great night spent catching up with my girl. I feel like I haven’t really seen her in days….and sadly I haven’t. I miss my girl when we are apart. She helped me with my errands and was such a sweetie.

To add some humor to your night…Tae went to a birthday party this weekend (Poppy was sweet enough to take her since I was at the show). Today, Tae informed me that at the party a parent had asked her how old her mommy was. She told them I was 18!!!!! Isn’t that just great!

28/30....Updating Shorty B

I have been spending a few hours the past two nights updating Shorty Bananas. It will take a LONG TIME to get everything up, but there are some new goodies up now. A little sneak peak….

27/30....Belated T-Day pictures....

The above picture reads: I would hide a turkey in a washing machine. One of the songs they sang for the "First Thanksgiving" play was about the children hiding the turkey from the farmer. The washing machine isn't a bad hiding place!

26/30....holiday....

It wouldn't be a proper holiday without a trip to Urgent Care! 3 hours later and we are heading home...ear infection and antibiotics in tow!

Today was Tae's Thanksgiving play at school. She did a great job! I have a video to post and more to say but my computer is not being my friend tonight :( I will have to add more tomorrow.

And along came Herman the worm….

Funny how these little songs make it full circle through the generations. Every time Tae learns a new one it is just slightly different than the way I remember it…kind of like an extended game of telephone. Her version, of course, is always the right way and I adjust the words as needed. She is always a little surprised when I know the words…at least some of the words.

22/30...And it hits again….

….my old friend anxiety. Tae has a teacher who is pregnant. She is just barely starting to show and I know she has not mentioned it to the children yet. I am fear stricken by what Tae will say. It has been a while since she has shared her blunt yet very sweetly honest news about my last pregnancy. I don’t know how I will react if she brings it up again…at a new school with new people. I wonder if she will ask more questions now that she is older. I know that she has not forgotten. She has the memory of an elephant.

I am drinking my worry tea and wondering why these things always hit me at the oddest times. I have known about this situation for a while now...yet tonight it really sunk in. It is like these little hidden thoughts just push themselves to the top of my awareness and burst…it’s awful.

20/30....Well Shoot!!!!

Last night I fell asleep with Tae and I missed the boat on my post for the day AND my homework!!! I guess I was THAT tired and sleep was really more important. I should probably try to complete my posts earlier in the day….homework too. Man!!! I am bummed! I really thought I would make it the whole month :( I am going to keep posting like I never missed a beat….just humor me ok.

19/30....working...

This morning I went to observe Tae’s class for a school assignment of mine. It was amazing. Every time I am in her class I am baffled by the coherence of the kids. Can you imagine watching 20 five year olds all working independently and quietly??? I love it.

The rest of the day was spent getting supplies for Shorty B and working on some new ideas. Working…working…working.

18/30...Heaven….

I am in love with these cookies. They are the love child of a thin mint and an 0reo…only healthier. I have not eaten an entire box (yet) but I did give them a little hug today when I took them out of the pantry. You must go to TJoe’s and get some! If you don’t have a TJoe’s you should probably consider moving. YUMMMMMMO!
