Giving back 4 year old style.....

Tae and I had a wonderful time last night making snack packs for a local foundation called Save the Family. I found Save the Family through this volunteer link, and thought this activity was an age appropriate way to volunteer with Tae. Save the Family is an organization that rehabilitates homeless families and helps survivors of domestic violence. They offer programs for the entire family and Tae could easily relate to the fact that we were making snacks for other children, though she is still trying to grasp why they don’t have a home. I portioned everything out and Tae filled EVERY bag with a juice box, bag of apple slices, bag of goldfish pretzels, and a fruit roll-up. This morning before school/work we dropped off 30 snack packs. It was very simple process, a good activity for us to do together and we were able to help. Here are some photos of our snack making process.

Worth every minute!!!!
