Shots & Shots

Tae will be starting the developmental soccer program offered by N’s club in a few weeks. She has been very excited and we are having fun picking out all her gear. The one item we haven’t found yet is cleats, still working on those. *A side note to this story is last Friday night we went to N’s men’s league game, the man that runs the developmental program also plays on this team. I pointed him out to T just so she would recognize him later.* So, Sunday morning we were discussing where we should go to track down these miniature cleats, when T pipes in that she IS NOT PLAYING SOCCER!!!

“Ok, why don’t you want to play anymore?”

“BECAUSE I don’t want to have to get anymore shots!” said in that oh so sweet 4 year old tone.

I am a bit confused at this point??? “Tae you already had all your shots when you turned 4, you don’t have to get anymore for soccer.” Remember this girl has had her share of needle pokes, and is not a fan.

“NO, that man at Daddy’s game said that he was going to SET UP THE SHOTS, and I am not going to play soccer because he IS NOT giving me a shot!”

He was talking about setting up the shots in the game, as in “shots on goal.” Oh T, you are too funny. Nothing gets past this girl.

I however did get shots yesterday in preparation for the big trip. 3 total and don’t worry I didn’t cry.
