Today was Henry’s Giving & Receiving Ceremony…very sweet very simple. On the way to the ceremony we stopped at a “mart” which seemed like the equivalent of a Target…exciting for me. We purchased items we needed as well as donations for the orphanage and the other orphanages we were planning to visit…mostly formula. Thanks to contributions from Grammy, Mama J & Papa D we were able to give a lot of needed items. It was interesting to see that the other families in our group did not give any necessities to the orphanage.
Later in the afternoon we went to an orphanage in Da Nang…a special orphanage for 2 of the girls in our group (D was one of the girls). I enjoyed holding the babies and fell in love with a beautiful baby girl…pinched my heart to put her down and honestly I fought back tears at this orphanage. Oh what an emotional trip... just reading your blog feels like taking a jump into a different reality, and makes me look at the comfort of our lives with different eyes... and with so much to be thankful for. The picture of your sis with Henry just makes me cry. It tells so much, it tells the whole story. We'd love to see all other pictures. Thanks for sharing these stories. Hugs and smiles to all.
