I had a parent teacher conference for T today and all is…awesome! Not surprised? I am not really either! She is doing really well and so far is on track for first grade next year. I did get a little glimpse into the first grade program and was surprised at how intense it is. I know that T is smart and that academically she will be on track, I just worry about her being the youngest. In many ways she is very mature for her age, but in others she is still very much a 5 year old…which is how we like it. So academically and socially I am not worried…but emotionally…a little. The teachers explained that we have a few options so we should be fine either way. Long story short… T ROCKS!
After school we went to a local restaurant for cookies, milk and a craft. I just stumbled across it in a mom magazine I picked up today…best part…it was free! Can’t beat free fun…I did buy an ice tea but I only did it because I felt weird just going for the ‘free’. We also discovered a great activity for tomorrow after school…but you will have to wait and see what it is. Here is T with her finished masterpiece…
I will leave you with this video that T made while I was working in the yard. I had an idea what she was doing but I wasn’t completely aware of my role…my awful role. I did edit out the 2 times she said her name so there is one part with a little skip. Ok so this is not my shining moment…T is definitely a shining star. I am posting this for your amusement because I find it very funny!!!! Hey, if we can’t laugh at ourselves who can we laugh at? I like how she sings for me!
